When logged into the web dashboard, you can search through Candidate batches from the past thirty days easily utilizing our Search functionality.
To begin, take a look at the filter bar at the top of your screen. You’ll see that the results default to ‘All Matching’. You'll also find that you can view only Candidates you’ve ‘Starred’ or Candidates you’ve ‘Hidden’, you can do so by selecting the appropriate filter. You'll also see that you can filter who have proactively shown interest in your organization after locating your Company Profile in the Directory, by selecting 'Interested in COMPANY NAME'.
Now, let's examine the filter panel on the left-hand side of your screen. To search by 'Location', press the downward facing arrow beside “All Hiring Locations”, and then check the box beside the appropriate location (New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Remote). You can filter for multiple locations at once, if you’d like- however, it’s important to note that if, for instance, you are subscribed only to our New York batch, filtering for ‘San Francisco’ will only show you candidates that have been shared both to New York AND San Francisco
Below the Location filter, you’ll find that you can filter by 'Roles'. To do so, press the arrow icon to expand the filter panel. You’ll see that ideal roles are organized into three separate categories: Engineering & Data, Product & Design, and Business. You can select multiple roles at once, if you’d like.
Below the ‘Roles’ filter, you’ll see a sliding filter for years of experience. It’s important to note that the years of experience filter will show you results where the candidate has the selected minimum years of experience for at least one of the selected roles in question.
At the bottom of the filter panel, you'll see the option search by 'Details'. To locate candidates who are considering contract positions, check the box beside 'Open to contract work'. To locate candidates who do not require visa sponsorship, check the box beside 'Visa not needed'. To locate candidates who have self-identified as a member of an underrepresented group in tech, check the box beside 'Identifies as underrepresented'.
As you make selections in the filter panel, you’ll see the applied filters appear at the top of the page, below the top filter panel. Press the ‘x’ beside any applied filter to clear that filter, or select ‘Clear All’ to start applying filters from scratch.
To utilize Keyword Search, input your desired keyword in the search bar, and then select the grey magnifying glass. You can use boolean operators like AND, OR, and NOT to narrow your search. To do so, you’ll want to ensure you’re capitalizing them in order to return the most relevant results (i.e. “JavaScript AND Ruby on Rails”, as opposed to “JavaScript and Ruby on Rails”.)
Once you've committed a search, your results will be automatically ranked by relevance, showing the candidates who were most closely match your search terms at the top. If you’d like to adjust the Candidate sort, you can adjust this by selecting ‘Relevance’ on the right-hand side of your screen, and you'll then have the option to choose 'Newest' or ‘Oldest’ from the drop-down:
